Plot: King Hrothgar is celebrating the victory over his enemies in his Hall of Feasting. But, in the far distance the partying and joy drive the beast, Grendel to madness. Grendel bursts into the hall and tears apart the kings guards. The King confronts Grendel and Grendel retreats. The King sends out a message to anyone who can kill Grendel, the King will give the slayer half of his treasure. Will someone get his treasure? Who will it be?
Extra thoughts: Beowulf is like watching the animated beginning of a Playstation or XBox game. Although computer animation looked good at times, I was thinking through the entire movie, 'where is my game control'. The film drags in the middle, but ends well. If you're interested in classic literature you might enjoy this adaptation of the epic poem entitle the same. If not, you might want to watch this one if you have time. It's a so-so movie.
