Plot:This film is based on the true story of the University of Marshall football team which was devestated when a plan crash killed most all of its team, coaching staff, and some members of their town. The town in West Virginia had to decide whether the Thundering Herd football team would be rebuilt or let go forever. Coach Lengyel (Mcconaughey) seeks out the position as the new head coach and takes on the daunting task of reviving the program. Lengyel, along with the help of the university's athletic director. Through struggles and triumphs both the football team and the town survive and thrive to carry on in the memory of those they lost.
