Alvin and the Chipmunks So So

Main Actor(s)/Actresses: Jason Lee, Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Jesse McCartney

Memorable Supporting Cast: David Cross and Jane Lynch

Plot: Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are storing nuts for the winter in a tree when it is chopped down for a Christmas tree for a record company's lobby. Dave is a struggling songwriter, but has a good day job. After presenting one of his songs to his friend, Ian, who owns a record company he is flatly rejected. Dave takes a basket of muffins on his way out of the meeting and while he is walking through the lobby Alvin, Simon, and Theodore hop into the basket and go home with Dave. Dave finds out the chipmunks can sing and is inspired to write a song for them to sing. Their career takes off and so does the trouble.

Extra thoughts: Alvin and the Chipmunks is a very simple kids movie. I would say kids under the age of twelve would enjoy it most. The animation was okay and the plot was thin. The music is aimed for the kids. I recommend it as a see it for kids and skip it for adults.
