Plot: A small Mayan village is seized by the Mayan king's guards to bring them to the temple as sacrifices and slaves. Jaguar Paw hides his pregnant wife and his son in a deep well to protect them from being killed. He vows to return to pull them out of the well. Jaguar Paw faces great odds to save the day and return to save his family.
Extra thoughts: Apocalypto is an excellent film. It is visually rich with an intense plot line. Apocalypto takes you to another time and a different place unseen in movies. Even though Apocalypto has subtitles, it is easy to follow. The bad guys make you want to hate them. Iit is a gory, bloody, and violent film like Braveheart. Apocalypto has its tender moments also. I say, see it.
