Plot: This film takes us through the lives of CC Bloom (Midler) and Hillary Whitney (Hershey). The two first meet on the beach under the boardwalk in Atlantic City as 11 year olds and become fast friends. As they grow older their lives are far apart in distance and career. Hilary is a single mother working as a lawyer and CC is singer with a diva attitude. They keep in touch by phone and share their ups and downs of career and romances. Their worlds change when Hillary becomes ill. CC comes to her side to help her. They take a last trip to a beach where Hillary passes away wither her friend by her side.
Extra thoughts: This film has an outstanding musical soundtrack. This is a real tear-jerker that will make you want to draw close to the ones you love.
