The Cable Guy See It

Main Actor(s)/Actresses:  Jim Carrey as Chip & Matthew Broderick as Steven

Memorable supporting cast: Leslie Mann & Jack Black

Plot: Steven Kovacs is given a tip from his friend, Rick, to get free cable and into his life comes the cable guy, Chip Douglas to install his cable.  When Steve asks the question of getting channels for free he gets more than free cable… he gets Chip Douglas.  Steve lets Chip into his life by not saying no or being tough.  It keeps escalating as Chip manipulates and charms the people around Steven to convince him to do Chip’s will.

Extra thoughts: This is one of the darker Jim Carrey movies; even darker than Me, Myself, and Irene.  If dark humor makes you laugh you will enjoy this movie; twisted as it is.  Or if you have ever been mixed up with someone who is not “totally there” or doesn't have a clue when they’re not wanted then you will enjoy this.
