Plot: Lightning McQueen is a hot, young rookie in contention for the Piston Cup. When a three way tie in the last race leaves the Piston Cup with no winner. A race off is set in California a week later with The King and Chick Hicks. On his trip to California, McQueen rolls off his car transporter while he's asleep. He gets lost and freaks out and causes damage to a small town, Radiator Springs. He is arrested and sentenced to fix the road before he can leave. Will he fix the road and make it to the big race? Will he find himself? See it and find out.
Extra thoughts: Cars is a cute film. Its message takes on self-centeredness and the need for friends. The animation was superb and the voices are a who's who in car racing and the automotive world. It has a lot of funny moments which drive home its point. Larry the Cable Guy as Mater, the tow truck, stole the show though. See it.
