Plot: Based on the true story of Frank Abignale, Jr.
Frank’s dad is being investigated for tax fraud and Frank has to choose between his mom and dad when they get divorced. So he chooses to run away. To get money to survive Frank starts writing checks. When people don’t trust him enough as himself to cash his checks he decides to impersonate an airline pilot to be more respected. He goes on a check writing spree and floating checks all over for millions of dollars. He then impersonates other professionals such as a doctor and a lawyer. An FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, is on his trail for Frank’s fraud.
Extra thoughts: This is a great film. Dicaprio, Hanks and Walker do a great job. You will enjoy the fact that it is based on a true story.
