Charlie Bartlett
Main Actor(s)/Actresses: Anton Yelchin, Robert Downey Jr., and Tyler Hilton
Memorable Supporting Cast: Hope Davis, Mark Rendall and Kat Dennings
Plot: Charlie Bartlett, the rich kid, has been kicked out of every private school in the city. Now it is his time to go to public school and try to fit in. He becomes the school's psychoanalyst and pharmacy by dispensing advice and, on occasion, prescriptions. But, his main goal is to be liked. Will he achieve acceptance and deal with his own issues?
Extra thoughts: Charlie Bartlett is a film about acceptance and dealing with personal issues. The plot and writing were fine. Anton Yelchin, who plays Charlie Bartlett, is a fine young actor. Robert Downey Jr. did an excellent job in his role as the principal. Charlie Bartlett is a comedy/drama and carries its own weight as a coming of age film. Other than some brief nudity, it's relatively clean with a few expletives and prescription drug abuse. I think it's worth seeing.
