The Dirty Dozen
Main Actor(s)/Actresses: Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, James Brown, Telly Savalas, and Donald Sutherland
Memorable Supporting Cast: Ernest Borgnine, George Kennedy, Richard Jaeckel and John Cassavetes
Plot: Twelve army prisoners sentenced to death or life in prison in the brig are given a chance to redeem themselves. The catch is they have to eliminate high ranking German officers just before D-day at a French estate turned into a resort. The fun begins with their raining where they meet resistance from a general who is not clued in to their secret mission. You will begin cheering for these ner’-do-wells as they go through this movie and when they encounter their mission. You will find out if they fail and who survives.
Extra thoughts: This film is in my top ten of World War II movies and is a must see. The Telly Savalas performance as a character who is truly nuts is a very memorable one. See it.
