Plot: A trio of singers enters a talent contest, but they lose. However, they catch the eye of Curtis who guides them to fame and the top of the charts with love and heartbreak. This is a musical put to film.
Extra thoughts: The songs and the performances are wonderful. The acting of Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson are excellent. Hudson won an award for her acting, but she can really sing; I mean really well. If you want a lot of music see this film, but don’t expect a deep plot because there isn’t one. I repeat, this is a musical.
