Plot: Vassili Zaitsev is thrust into the pivotal battle of Stalingrad in 1942. He proves himself in a human wave pushed into the paths of German guns. He finally gets his hands on a rifle and uses it with deadly accuracy. His talent is discovered and propagandized by the Russian army. Vassili is so deadly that the Germans send there beset marksman, Major Konig, to kill Vassili. They use their wits and patience to hunt each other down.
Extra thoughts: I enjoyed this movie for its drama. It also showed a rare look at the Eastern Front, the battle the Russian’s fought. I recommend you see this movie, enjoy and learn.
