Finding Forrester See It

Main Actor(s)/Actresses: Sean Connery

Memorable Supporting Cast: F. Muray Abraham, Anna Paquin, Rob Brown, and Busta Rhymes

Plot: William Forrester (Connery) is a reclusive author and Jamal (Brown) is a great basketball player whose secret is that he loves to write. Circumstances bring Jamal and Forrester together. Jamal gets a scholarship to an elite private school for academics and basketball. Jamal seeks help in his writing from Forrester who asks only in return that he doesn't tell anyone about him. Jamal begins to write so well that his professors feel that he is "cheating" and is only at the school to play ball. Jamal returns the help from Forrester by helping him to get out into the real world again. The basketball team makes it to the state finals and Jamal enters a writing contest. Will Jamal be able to win the game and the contest? How does the friendship with Forrester change Jamal's life in the end? You'll have to watch this film to find out.

Extra thoughts: This movie starts out a little slow, but then draws you in to the lives of Jamal and Forrester so you keep watching to find out what happens. It seems that this could be a true story. There is some fairly strong language at times.
