The Great Escape See It

Main Actor(s)/Actresses:  Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson

Memorable supporting cast: James Garner, Richard Attenborough, Donald Pleasence, James Coburn

Plot: In the movie, which is based on a true story, the Germans decide to put all the escape prone prisoners into one special prison camp.  The Germans get more than they asked for.  A mass escape is planned to disrupt the Germans by diverting resources to look for the escapees.  McQueen does his usual excellent performance.  Bronson is the tunnel king who has Claustrophobia.  James Garner is the camp scrounge who can bribe or hustle  to find any tools needed to escape.  See how they escape and fan out across Germany to find there way to freedom and drive the Germans crazy.

Extra thoughts: This one of my top ten World War II movies.  The Steve McQueen motorcycle chase scene is a must see.  If you have yet to see this movie it is a must!
