Plot: Francis Ouimet is a golf prodigy, but is only in the social class to be a caddy. He gets a rare opportunity from those who believe in him to play in a major golf tournament. He will be playing against the world's best like Harry Vardon. Vardon and Ouimet come from similar socio-economic backgrounds. Ouimet tries to win the tournament and win the respect of his father.
Extra thoughts: The Greatest Game Ever Played is an excellent film. It is based on a book by Mark Frost. The acting is good, especially the memorable young caddy played by Josh Flitter. The directing and writing are good as well. It is a very inspiring film. I definitely say see it.
