The Guns of Navarone

Plot: British commandos are sent to the island of Navarone to blow up big German gun emplacements chiseled into the rocks above the Aegean Sea. If they don’t succeed the pending British evacuation fleet will be sunk before it completes its mission. The movie follows the commandos from there insertion point. The Germans are nipping at their heels the entire way.
