Kelly’s Heroes   See It

Main Actor(s)/Actresses:  Clint Eastwood as Kelly and Telly Savalas as Big Joe

Memorable supporting cast: Don Rickles as Crapgame, Donald Sutherland as Oddball, Carroll O’Connor, and Gavin MacLeod

Plot: Kelly captures a German officer and after getting him drunk finds out about millions of dollars in gold bars are in a town 30 miles behind German lines.  It doesn’t take long for Kelly to cobble together a crew for the perfect crime.  The adventure starts out with Kelly’s crew, but snowballs in to an Allied offensive as others catch wind of the gold.

Extra thoughts: This one is a classic; one of my favorites.  Clint Eastwood has great lines with his dry humor.  Don Rickles has some of the best lines in the movie and Donald Sutherland has the funniest role in this movie. This movie is widely shown on cable and satellite television.

Director: Brian G. Hutton

Year released: 1970
