Plot: Brenda Brown, after losing her job to a plant shutdown, receives a letter from Georgia for her father's funeral whom she never met. She goes to the funeral in Georgia and meets her relatives, the Browns, plus a man named Harry. She finds out what it is like to have someone besides herself to help.
Extra thoughts: Meet the Browns has a hard time making up its mind what it's going to be; drama, romance, or comedy. It goes down the drama and romance road then turns in to a comedy and back to a romance. The one highlight of the movie was David Mann as Leroy Brown. He was a blast. Angela Bassett did a good job of acting, but the writing was not at all that great for her to work with. I say skip Meet the Browns, but it has its moments.
