Plot: On the eve of World War II, an older-middle aged poor woman finds herself unemployed from her governess job. She overhears of an opening for a job and goes to the residence. She is welcomed with open arms by Delysia and becomes her social secretary. Delysia takes Miss Pettigrew under her wing while Miss Pettigrew guides Delysia in matters of the heart.
