Plot: A high school student, Jake Tyler, moves from Iowa to Orlando, Florida with his brother and mother. Jake is carrying around the guilt of his father's death from drunk driving. He is touchy and gets into a lot of fights. He gets involved in ultimate fighting to get revenge on a guy who beat him up. Will he resolve his internal conflicts as well as his external ones?
Extra thoughts: Never Back Down is a violent movie geared toward the twenty-five and below male audience. The movie plays to their likings. Sean Faris, the main actor, and Cam Gigandet, his arch rival, had some good acting. The plot was somewhat unrealistic. The fight scenes were the best part of the movie. I say this is a so-so movie. See if if you have time to kill.
