Plot: When King Henry VIII's queen does not produce a son, Henry looks for another woman. The kings advisor points him toward the Boleyn family where the king takes up with Mary who bears him a son and then her sister Anne has other ideas.
Extra thoughts: The Other Boleyn Girl shines a light on Mary Boleyn whose sister becomes Queen Anne, one of Henry VIII wives. Natalie Portman and Scarlet Johansson do a good job of acting. The writing of the film was alright, but historical gleaning should be taken lightly. Sibling rivalry is the movie's main thrust. If historical romance 'floats your boat' then see it.
