The Passion of the Christ See It

Main Actor(s)/Actresses:  James Caviezel, Maria Morgenstern, and Christo Jivkov

Memorable Supporting Cast: Francesco Devito, Monic Bellucci, Luca Lionello, and Hristo Shopov

Plot: The Passion of the Christ follows Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane through his death on the cross.  Mel Gibson gives you a bare knuckles version of who Christ is and how he suffered and died. The cat of nine tails wielded by the Romans is a well overdue fact glossed over when the Roman soldier whips it into a wooden table.  The cat of nine tails’ talons stick into the table then he has to yank hard and pull it out.

Extra thoughts: So many versions of the made-for-tv type of Jesus’ life and death make me want to scream.  They make Him out to be a linguini-spined, unfortunate martyr.  This film is done right.  It is not a candy-coated liberal theology version of the last hours of Jesus.  It follows the biblical account of what actually happened, like it or not.  If you don’t believe me open up the Bible, put in the movie, and follow along.  See it if you have the stomach for the truth
