Plot: Rudy (Astin) has dreamed all of his life to play for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, but everyone told him he was not big enough or smart enough to make it and laugh at his dreams. Rudy doesn't listen to any of them and pursues his dream. After several years of working in the steel mill and heroic measures, Rudy finally gains admission to Notre Dame and becomes a walk-on football player. Through hard work and determination Rudy earns the respect of the coach, players, his family, and Notre Dame fans. He finally earns a chance to play in a game and achieve his dream.
