Schindler's List
Main Actor(s)/Actresses: Liam Neeson and Ben Kingsley
Memorable Supporting Cast: Caroline Goodall, Ralph Fiennes, and Embeth Davidtz
Plot: Oscar Schindler, looking to profit from World War II, schmoozes the German SS in Poland. He persuades wealthy Jewish business men from Krakow to lend him the money to buy a bankrupt metal shaping company to make field kits for the German army. He needs a work force. He draws from the Jewish containment zone in Krakow. To be put on "the list" to work in the factory you have to be a skilled metal craftsman but that is not always the case. See how Schindler preserves his work force and in doing so helps to protect Jews from being exterminated.
Extra thoughts: Schindler's List is an excellent film about one man's means to profit and the preservation of life for some Jewish people during WWII. This film is done in black and white which sets a tone of hopelessness. The writing, direction, and cinematography were excellent. This is a part of history that needs not be forgotten lest it happen again. See it.
