Plot: A slow-witted southern boy, Carl, is being released from a mental hospital years after he killed his mother and her lover. he is left on his own, but the director of the mental hospital steps in and gets him a job at the local lawn mower repair shop. While he is in town he befriends a young boy who likes Carl. Carl ends up living in the boy’s mother’s garage. The mother has a no-good boyfriend which makes for big trouble down the road.
Extra thoughts: This movie has a distinct tempo and the characters are well developed. See it. It’s a change of pace.
