Plot: A widowed college professor, Lawrence Wetherhold, has to depend on his family after he hits his head and can't drive. His step-brother comes back into his life. He meets and dates a doctor who was a former student. His daughter has fallin into the role as his mother figure and needs to get a life of her own. Can Lawrence and the family work things out and live a normal life?
Extra thoughts: Dennis Quaid plays the lead character, Lawrence, who is unpleasant and self absorbed. Ellen Page, who played in the movie Juno did an excellent job. Thomas Haden Church, who plays the step-brother, does the best job of all. The plot is thin and painful at times. It has some funny moments, but I just wanted it to end. See if if you have time. It's a so-so movie.
