Plot: Top Loss tells the story of Sergeant Brandon King arriving home after a tour in Iraq. After a heroes welcome when he arrives home, he goes to turn in his gear and leave the army. He is then informed he has been stop-lossed and is heading back for another tour in Iraq. Being very upset, he has to decide what he is going to do.
Extra thoughts: Whether you agree or disagree with the war in Iraq or the war on terror, Stop-Loss brings up the subject known as the "back door draft". It keeps service men and women beyond the time they committed to serve. As for the movie, the war scenes are intense. It's realistic except for running blindly into an ambush. The acting was not so good. The plot kind of went in circles and didn't really make a point. Other than the stop-loss option of the President. If I were you I wouldn't waste time with this movie and skip it.
