Plot: Bobby Green(aka. Bobby Grusinsky) runs a successful night club in New york. Bobby is not on good terms with his real dad but the night club is owned by a Russian business man who takes care of Bobby like a son. The boss has a nephew who is into drug dealing. Bobby Green's brother, Joseph, and his father Deputy Chief Albert 'Bert' Grusinsky are on the New York police force. Worlds collide when Joseph goes after the drug dealer at Bobby's club and the drug dealer goes after Joseph.
Extra thoughts: We Own the Night is a story about loyalty and it really drives that home. Robert Duvall, as always, does an excellent job acting. The car chase in the rain was impressive. There is nudity, sexual situations, violence, guns and bloodshed. I recommend you see We Own the Night if you like police action films.
